This is normal and caused by the game trying to instantaneously load assets. While this was possible on the N64, Daedalus 3DS does not yet have the power to do this. The only 'fix' for this issue is simply to use a faster emulator.
First, thank you so much for creating this!
Now, Mario Kart 64, each time I select Ok to move on on the selection screen and on the loading intro of the racetrack, frames drop from 30 to 8 or 7.
