Stuck on "Closing software..." when trying to exit to the home screen #20

While in-game, pressing the home button, then Y to close the software results in the "Closing software..." dialog box appearing indefinitely. The system is not frozen, since the 3DS background music and animations work, but there is no way to get out of this besides holding the power button to forcibly turn the system off.

Tested on a New 2DS XL with firmware 11.13.0-45U and LUMA3DS v10.1.3.

use the 3dsx version and quite the game from the pause menu

This seems to be a problem with garbage collection. The 3DS will clear the RAM when the game is stopped, and Half-Life takes a lot more RAM than other games.

The most it can use up on n3DS is 128mb, so how in the world would it take this long to clear? Same issue, n3DS XL.
