My instance admin recently added custom emojis and I haven't gotten to see them in the custom emoji picker yet; even after clearing the cache.
After clearing the app data, the new emoji did show up, but I had to re-open the app after logging in because the custom emoji picker wouldn't display anything at first. (Probably the emoji list was loaded after I opened the picker?)
