What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to jMonkeyEngine.com
2. The user is presented with two options, WebStart or Applet
3. Click WebStart, a JNLP file is downloaded to your PC, user is confused in 
what he should do with said file.
4. Click Applet, it loads okay, but the scene displayed is pathetic and plus it 
crashes miserably on non-OpenGL2 cards.

With the recent addition of error messages, the experience of applets is now 
much improved. Perhaps the on-site applet can be updated with TestWalkingChar 
for example, with fallback to OpenGL1 enabled. This will demonstrate the power 
of the engine.
