If you run sed to edit a file, the generated sed files are still visible in Caja. You cannot open these files since they do no exist: When I hit Ctrl+R they disappear.

Expected behaviour
The "Size" column value should be updated to "1 item"
Actual behaviour
~/randomfile is displayed
For ~/testdir/testfile: the "Size" column value is not updated to "1 item"
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
Create directory with caja (in this example ~/testdir/). Observe the "Size" column value for the directory: "0 items"
