Tilda toggle and full screen applications #680

Open lucadaniel84 opened 3 years ago

lucadaniel84 commented 3 years ago

Expected behaviour

When toggling tilda via keybinding (F12) over a full screen app like a browser or a video player it shows and behaves correctly, but when F12 is pressed again it is expected to return to the full screen application as it was before.

Actual behaviour

When tilda toggle keybinding (F12) is pressed to hide tilda terminal, tilda hides but the panel(s) remains over the previous full screen application instead of showing the previous state of the app, without the panel(s) mate-panel disappears only when clicking on the full screen app or pressing alt+tab

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

Install tilda terminal, set a toggle keybinding, open an app full screen like a browser or video player then activate tilda terminal via the set keybinding and deactivate tilda again by the same toggle keybiding

Edit: added but report on Arch https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/70856 Also this behavior is not present when using Alt+Tab, only by the show/hide key of the Tilda drop down terminal (and possibly other apps that have a show/hide button)
