Nothing "kanythng" has to do with MATE, that's KDE stuff. You may have bigger problems here as that shows two DE's having issues with one or more startup programs: your panel is not launching anything, and autostarted KDE stuff is throwing errors. PAM itself might be the problem in your install here.

tkochanek commented 4 years ago

Hi, what is _kanythng__ and where did you find it. How to find the KDE stuff and remove them In synaptic manager I cannot find any kde package installed

Why it works on older kernel and on newer it is not?

lukefromdc commented 4 years ago

"kanything" is just the term I used for kwallet and other KDE programs, most of which are prefixed with k If the kernel changed things, you could have a kernel bug, try booting with the older one from the GRUB menu if you did not remove it. Alternately, if this was part of a bunch of updates another one might have been bad or installed incorrectly

This is what I wrote at the beginning When I run system on Linux Mint 19.3 MATE, Linux 5.0.0-37-generic - it is working properly The problem is that on 5.3.0-26 kernel mate-pannel crashes. On 5.3.0-26 textual mode is working

If changing kernel version crashes mate-panel or anything else, that is a kernel issue, not a mate-panel issue. The only thing I've ever seen in thr panel that would change for kernel versions is the cpufreq applet, which runs out of process and cannot crash the panel.
