GTK+ 3.22 has broken them completely, and in mate-screensaver there aren't really a need in them at all, in any GTK+ version. This fixes #98 and fixes #103.

Tested with f24 (gtk+-3.20) and rawhide (gtk+-3.22) , fixes the blankscreen issue and no further problems detected. Thank you
