The mate-settings-daemon seems to be in a conflict with the proprietary nvidia drivers.
This will result in some kind of "resolution mismatch"
In nvidia-settings a display with 19201080 is detected which is fine.
In mate-display-properties a display with 19201080 is detected which is also fine.
But the screen appears to be, maybe 1440900 (?) Every icon is a bit big, the fonts are large .. well this is not 19201080.
My SetUp:
Fedora 24 (everything up to date)
Mate Desktop Environment 1.16.1
GeForce GTX 965M
nvidia-settings: version 375.20
Other Desktop Environments seem to work without any problem, I tested gnome-shell, cinnamon, lxde.
Sometimes when I kill the mate-sessions-daemon and then start mate-appearance-properties the correct resolution is applied. But this "workaround" does not work reliable.

Any Ideas?
