New window cut/paste does not work #294

Expected behaviour

Have an open terminal window. Open new tab (shift-control-t). Use shift-control-v to paste text. this works.

Actual behaviour

Open a new window (shift-control-n). Try to shift-control-v to paste, and nothing happens.

MATE general version

Package version

mate-terminal-1.22.1-1.fc29.x86_64

Linux Distribution

Fedora 29

I recently updated to mate-terminal 1.22.1 and (among other things) cut and paste doesn't work. This is on an ubuntu variant.

It works fine here with mate-terminal 1.22.1 (debian testing/bullseye)

I can't reproduce the issue with mate-terminal 1.22.1 fedora 29/30/31. Sure that the window has focus?

Looks like after restarting my machine, mate-terminal is working correctly again. Is this a bug in the update process maybe?
