We discussed this previously (see https://github.com/material-extensions/vscode-material-icon-theme/issues/2309#issuecomment-2105316079 and https://github.com/material-extensions/vscode-material-icon-theme/issues/2309#issuecomment-2105623637) and decided not to change the icon for yaml files in the workflows folder. This is because vscode still doesn't allow restricting the association to just the .github/workflows/*.{yml,yaml} files. The icon would be used even if the workflow folder is not located inside .github/..., which might be confusing.

That said, let's keep the issue open in case the community wants to revisit this topic 😊
