Are we covering the sass.map
file extension already? On my end there's only css.map
configured to have a file icon:
No we are not covering them, nor are we covering all of the following:
I'm just wondering, what's the purpose of "sass.map" or "scss.map" files? As far as I know, the preprocessor files (scss or pcss) will be transpiled into "css" before going into deployment. The web browser only understands CSS and therefor only a mapping for css files would make sense, right?
tbf, what youre saying makes sense, but i have seen my previous site generator actually generate those mapped files. i was confused too to begin with, but now i dont have it anymore since i swapped from node.js to deno - lume static site gen, so i dont get those weird mappings anymore.
i did some research and adding those icons doesnt make sense, so if you dont have anything to add to this discussion anymore you can close it as not planned.
@illyrius666 thanks for clarifying it, then I'll close this one.
