The typogaphy for the TITLE style has small and mediium size fonts at a medium weight. But the style for the large font size is set to REGULAR WEIGHT.

Is this an oversight? Or is this by design?

Thank you for the question, this is by design: https://m3.material.io/styles/typography/type-scale-tokens as the larger font size and weight would make the Title Large look less like Title and more like a Headline.
