You need to go to the setting of the material theme builder and check the color match option so the primary color directly set to actual value

I think you are confusing the "primary color" with the "primary color role". When you select a primary color (in this case #673AB7) you get a tonal palette, and then one of those colors (in this case P-40, whose value is #6750a4) is used for the "primary color role".

Also, as @deweyferdinand said, if you need to more precisely choose your colors you can check the "Color match" option.

@ElianFabian is P-40 supposed to be the same color as Primary40? They seem to be different (same with S-40 vs. Secondary40, etc.)

I used a color picker and they have the exact same hex number, you can do the same to check it.
