This is something I've been thinking of too, as part of my streams thinking.

Are you considering a node-based visual programming UI for the streams?

As context for this issue our goal is to take into consideration a variety of representations for different tools (Origami Studio, Stage, Sketch, etc...).

Not really - thinking more about representing it as a layered timeline.
