Update Gradle setup #46

Hello,

This PR updates a few things and fixes #45.

Changes look okay but I'm not able to test the changes as the next update will be using Blueprint or some other dashboard which will make some of these changes and eliminate the need for the others.

@crutchcorn What do you think of merging this given the above?

I'd say we should merge this as an interm for the proper refactor
