Speed of Changing Desktop Screens #799

If I have two apps open on the main screen CMD + Tab allows one to switch instantly between apps. If however one of those apps is in full screen, CMD + Tab is much slower since it shows a sliding animation. Is there any terminal command for making that transition instant?

Also if a window is "minimized" then CMD + Tab doesnt work properly. Is there a terminal command so that CMD + Tab will work as expected even if the app is minimized that your switching too, without having to hold down extra keys?

Lately no. The only way to change speed is to use the 2016+ MacBook Pro and swipe faster with 3 fingers.

Edit: actually this works with any MacBook Pro (probably 2010 onward).

The only decent alternative is to reduce motion speed in Accessibility settings (#711).

Just enable Reduce Motion in macOS Sierra to Speed Up Mission Control. It removes the Animation. Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Motion checkbox. The animated transition becomes a fade in/fade out.

Reduce motion doesn't seem to work when I connect an external display. Any ideas?
