Current playback position not always stored when watching a recording

Steps:

Record a program
Wait for completion
TV, Recording, play for a few moment
Stop
Start to play again the same recording
ISSUE: the playback starts from beginning instead of previous stopped position. Sometimes it works.

Need to find the logic that triggers the storing of the current watching position and displaying a triangle (play) icon next to the recording.

Sometimes the last stop position is stored but the play icon is not displayed.

Seems related to the duration of the playback.
