change gamma by ambient brightness #54

Hi all,

I was wondering if it makes sense to develop a little ambient-usb device which 
sends boblight the current brightness in the room.

For example when everything is turned off it might make sense to auto reduce 
the gamma of the tv's LEDs.

I could build such an usb-interface which gives you a virtual com port and 
sends the light state every x seconds.

Maybe there should be some kind of RPC-interface which allows changing boblight 
parameters on the fly?

Perhaps something like this exists already?

I'm using boblight-x11 btw.
