Nevermind. I figured it out!

I'm trying to run make, but I get this error:

Testing handlebars needed to compile the templates. If it fails install as:
 # sudo npm install handlebars -g
handlebars -v
make: handlebars: Command not found
Makefile:23: recipe for target 'test-bin-deps' failed
make: *** [test-bin-deps] Error 127

I cannot install npm on my system. I'm running Ubuntu and it conflicts with php. What am I missing?

heavyelement commented 5 years ago

Just as a follow-up, I installed the handlebars package from Ubuntu's repo and I get this error when running make:

Hi @heavyelement Honestly, I do not know how to help you, since I never install in that way, and we intend to download the dependencies by hand -Look at the Makefile, it's very homemade/harcoded- to avoid these problems.

The only thing that occurs to me is that you install this dependency:

@matiasdelellis -- I misread the apt output and was able to install node without any package conflict. Thanks for your quick response!
