I like this plugin, it feels like the Unity per application sound control in the volume indicator, simplified, an idea would be to autohide the applet when no multimedia player are running, or better, include a volume control in the applet so when players are running there would be media control and volume icon, when no player is running only the volume icon could apper.

+1 First I want to polish some details, then'll add volumen control, and sure I will release a great version of the plugin.

Hi, Feel like testing the branch gdbus? Now when the player is not working, hidden controls, and show the plugin icon.. and clicking the icon launches the player.. =) Also with the mouse wheel, you can change the volume..

That you think?
