I would like to be able to select (and copy-paste) text so that I can for example double-click a category in a log and easily put it into the filter.

You can select multiple words/line with alt/shift and increase or decrease the selection with the scroll wheel. Middle click will copy the selection to the scrollwheel

Oh! I didn't know that :)

Maybe add a tooltip for this?

I just now noticed that it doesn't work if the window isn't focused.
