Traduzi README.md para Português

Robson commented 2 years ago

I'm rejecting this because we don't want the repository to be in Portuguese.

@Robson perhaps this file could be added as a new file, say README.pt.md? It would be nice to have a version for Portuguese speakers, not to mention it would avoid throwing out all the work that @Nathanfernds did :)

I should have noted that this pull request appears to be the result of using Google Translate on the page, with some minor adjustments. I put several of the longer English descriptions into Google Translate, which produced the exact same result as this pull request. There's also several unusual punctuation choices in the pull request, which also match exactly with the punctuation when converting the original readme to Portuguese via Google Translate.

For example, if we take this from the original readme:

Clean project logo. Useful badges (version, code style, test cover, docs). Clear readme with quickstart, understandable installation and usage manual, video screencast, ToC with well-documented project features (with a demo recording of the work in the terminal), project philosophy notes ("the why another"), most frequently asked questions, and more.

and convert it via Google Translate, we get:

Limpe o logotipo do projeto. Emblemas úteis (versão, estilo de código, capa de teste, documentos). Leia-me claro com início rápido, manual de instalação e uso compreensível, screencast de vídeo, ToC com recursos de projeto bem documentados (com uma gravação de demonstração do trabalho no terminal), notas de filosofia de projeto ("o porquê outro"), perguntas mais frequentes, e mais.

That's identical to the translation in this pull request.

I've also checked every description in the Tools section - they all exactly match the result from Google Translate.

I agree that there's value in having a natively translated Portuguese version, but this is machined translated. So visitors can achieve the same result with a translation extension or by using Google Translate directly. I don't think there's any reason for us to store+maintain a machine translated version of the readme in Portuguese, but not Spanish, etc.

I'll reopen this issue though, so we can discuss this.

Here are a bunch of similar PRs:

I suspect there may be some sort of hackathon or bootcamp going on.

I suspect there may be some sort of hackathon or bootcamp going on.

That seems likely. I see that these users joined GitHub around the same time, have a similar posting frequency and then the amount of activity increased this month.

@Nathanfernds or @MateusCanevari please feel free to explain what's going on to us. You're welcome to explain in any language.

Robson commented 1 year ago

@Heheehd Are you doing this action as part of an online course, bootcamp, etc?

Robson commented 1 year ago

@Heheehd Could you give us a link to it?

Unfortunately it doesn't appear that we're going to get any answers to this.
