Looking at the "Desktop Effects" list, I can see that "ShapeCorners" doesn't have the new name "Rounded Corners (formerly ShapeCorners)". So you are very out of date.
Please grab the latest version and if the problem still exists, reopen the issue with newer screenshots.
@xiota Is the AUR up to date?
aur/kwin-effect-rounded-corners-git
was last updated 2024-06-15, and it is currently working.
However, it does need to be rebuilt whenever KDE libraries are updated. There was a KDE update earlier today (6.1.1.2), so the Chaotic AUR package needed to be rebuilt. (I believe Garuda uses the Chaotic AUR repo.) This has been done.
I do not know why an old build/version/commit would appear in the effects list. This also was not the only fork of shapecorners. I would recommend checking pacman -Qqm
for defunct packages and /usr/local
for unmanaged builds that weren't cleaned up.
Normally after some big kwin update I come to the repo here and copy paste the build steps into kitty. I do this in a home folder called build. Then reboot since I do it after the other updates. I did the same this time.
My usr/local is nice an clean as well
pre chaotic update.

~The name in settings is fixed now as well
In the 6.1.1 update i found that with a fresh install from the repo it causes windows to black out pictures will be below. I'm guessing kwin bug. but i felt i should post about it.
With force blur off it is still there as well.
