Gimx crashes after a maximum of 5 consoles #500

Hi there,

I have tried to use 7 consoles on 1 computer. All controllers, dongles detected. When I am using Console 1-5 and try to open Console 6 I only get an error message. If I close Console 5 and open Console 6 (1,2,3,4,6 running) then it's working. It is clear that there is a limit of 5 consoles. What can I do to run more than 5 consoles?

kind regards, elroy87

Hi,

Please update GIMX to the latest version and report the result.

elroy87 commented 6 years ago

Updated to the latest version!

after 5 consoles: no dualshock 4 controller was found on usb ports -> there are all controllers connected though as I said, there is a gimx limit of 5 accounts, I can change the consoles and all are working but there is a limit of 5 using consoles at the same time

This log file is different and shows an error that is related to the adapter.

elroy87 commented 6 years ago

There shouldn't be an error which is related to the adapter. The device manager shows me all 8 controllers. I tested it on a second pc, all is working fine until you want to start a sixth console!

Could you please make a log for all gimx instances?

elroy87 commented 6 years ago

Sure! As you can see in the logs all controllers were detected!

Do you have any news for me?

Sadly I don't have enough DS4 controllers to investigate this issue. I might be wrong, but I don't think this is a bug on the GIMX software side.

Something to try is to combine several GIMX instances into a single one. For example: gimx -s 127.0.0.1:51914 -p COM24 -s 127.0.0.1:51917 -p COM4
