Downloads per Page (Custom Reports) #20626

Open mindbreaker opened 1 year ago

mindbreaker commented 1 year ago

I would like to create a custom report that shows the number of downloads per page. When I select Page URL as the first dimension, I cannot select Download URL as the second dimension.

I can make this the normal dimension.

This is not possible. Also a link from the matomo forum: https://forum.matomo.org/t/downloads-per-page/42634/5

Hi @mindbreaker,

Thanks for drawing attention to this limitation.

Currently this functionality is not possible and would not be easy to implement.

I'll assign this ticket for prioritization by the product team, but it seems unlikely that it will be worked on in the near term.

The "page of the event" option is actually a dimension that is often needed by web analysts.

Hi @mindbreaker, as workaound maybe you could use an additional "action custom dimension" that could store the page URL itself... Not sure it works or not...
