As a user I want to be able to sort plugins on the Marketplace #5003

We currently have 90% new visits on the Marketplace and only 10% returning. So it probably makes sense to leave the current default sort order but I agree there could be a sorting mechanism the same way it is currently done already in the Piwik software itself.

Feedback from user in forum http://forum.piwik.org/read.php?3,113978 : May I suggest the marketplace ( http://plugins.piwik.org/ ) be sorted by "last update" by default ?

Even better would be also : Last update, or Name or Downloads/popularity.

I love my stuff fresh so by "Last update" seems more important for frequent users than popularity. But as usual, having choice would be nice.

me too :-)

maybe it would be also interesting to show a link directly to the changlog? or by clicking the updated date? or make the changelog directly visible/unfold by this link?

Great minds thinks alike hpvd !

In the TYPO3 universe, we got a "last upload comment" where developer can write a quick information like "Complete rewrite", "Security FIX, upgrade ASAP !" or "Compatibility with 2.2 added".

But we got 6000 plugins too... ;)
