Weekly & monthly (& maybe others?) graphs show total of 0 visits if no access on present day - CronArchive #5163

Hello

I "think" that I saw the this happening a few days back (on 2.2.3-b1), but I am not sure:

let's say that on 13.May I check at 23:59 the site's monthly visits and I see that for the month of May a total 1000 visits => when the switches and it becomes 14.May AND the archiver runs without that the site had any visits on that day, the total amount of visits for May goes down to 0. As soon as the archiver runs after that I got e.g. 1 visit on that day, the total of monthly visits is updated correctly to 1001.

As I said I am not sure if I really saw what I saw and this is a bit difficult to test using a live system - maybe you could run such a simulation in one of your test environments? I will try to reproduce it on my side - will need some luck and good timing.

Many thanks Keywords: archiver

Tested with 2.3.0-rc4 => it works! Thanks a lot!!!

No sorry, I was wrong - had the same problem today (still on 2.3.0-rc4). I'll have to try this out taking into consideration the time showed in the logs of the Piwik archive process - maybe it happens only if no visits occurred after UTC+2 and not at just LOCALTIME.

It looks "a bit" like the problem I described in the Forum:

http://forum.piwik.org/read.php?2,115949,116169#msg-116169

When you don't access some pages in Piwik, it's like Piwik Cron don't care to process reports for weeks and some data get missed in reports...

I'm still with Piwik 2.2.0 and using "console core:archive" with --url as the only parameter.

this should work in piwik 2.9.1
