good idea. Of course ecommerce ist also very interesting. If no goals or ecommerce statistics are needed/setup visitor overview maybe be very interesting. And if you are starting your website, first look goes to visitor log were there any visitors and what did they do.
=> The the general way:
I'm pretty sure we have an issue to be able to select any report to be shown after log in but I couldn't find it.
would be a good way to go...
would be a perfect combination with:
:+1: would be great!
following the comments, I would suggest "Add possibility to define a report to load by default after log in" or similar as a more general name for this issue
I'll add it to the description. There might be a big difference in effort. Eg it might be quite simple to offer possibility to see Goals page after logging in but making it generic might be much more effort. Meaning we might be able to add the feature to Goals page quickly and it will be done short term vs the big effort might not be realistic to do it short or maybe even mid term (although I hope it will be ).
In personal settings a user can select the report to load by default after a log in:
From http://piwik.org/docs/tracking-goals-web-analytics/
Because of that I would like to be able to see this goals page directly after log in. The goals page can give me a very quick overview of how my website, or app, or ... is doing. The number of visits, pageviews, visited pages, ... are in the end more or less just details to analyze and to see how some goals can be improved maybe etc. The most important metrics, when having some goals defined, are goal conversions. Eg your visits might go up, but goal conversions go down (or the other way around). What counts are goals.
