a) congratulations and richly deserved!

b) other news items have had a headline plus link, and then maybe some text under them. This one looks bare all by itself.

I still think we should just have a "news" that we post on discourse, and then a running feed here. The nice thing about the news being on discourse is folks can comment (in this case to congratulate you!), and it may drive more people to the discourse....
