The current announcements are grafik

Is the call for participation still open? If yes, keep. If no, remove.

We can remove the GSOC and GSOD start announcements.

2-3 current news entries are enough, because we have the "Older Announcements" link.

Also we're gonna post the 2024 GSOC soonish, just waiting on a blog post.

I'm not sure about the call; the signup link on the Discourse post does say it's expired. But one could still read the report, I suppose. Thoughts, @melissawm?
