Needs new release #43

@tacaswell @njsmith Most of the issues are related to an old version; @njsmith do you have upload privileges for viscm to pypi?

Just installed and was quite disheartened to see half the examples being broken. It works fine after installing directly from the repo.

Please update the pypi release!

I tagged and released v0.8. I didn't have time to review any PRs / issues, so if anyone wants to give a hand, I am happy to do another release with any incorporated fixes.
