Puppet disconnected

today someone just disconnected:

this isn't visible on Matrix in anyway. one-star-chef spoke in #libera-matrix and tried !reconnect, but their puppet isn't reconnecting to Libera.

tulir's puppet disconnected yesterday at 16:02:59Z, and the appservice bot doesn't actually reconnect him on !reconnect (though it does acknowledge the command)

To be clear, the puppets aren't reconnecting, which means their owners' messages are silently dropped indefinitely.

My puppet (geekosaur[m]) disconnected with a ping timeout as shown above yesterday, and has not reconnected. !reconnect claims to reconnect me, but nothing changes. Oddly, I receive messages sent in the IRC channels my puppet was in, whether sent via IRC or via Matrix, but anything I send is seen only by those on Matrix.

I tried using !quit and rejoining rooms; this also did not rejoin me to IRC. I was also unable to rejoin some rooms: nheko reports a failure without an error message, Element says "You attempted to join a room ID without providing a list of servers to join through.".

It looks like all/most puppets reconnect after a few days; but then they may be disconnected again later (eg. this happened to one-star-chef[m])
