Bridge discord server as matrix space? #738

It would be nice to be able to bridge a full server to a space, so all rooms that are added or removed on discord get the reflected on matrix and vice versa.

This is something I'm working on for t2bot.io as a side project fwiw. It'll be sent upstream once it's ready.

Hey @turt2live We were also looking for kind of similar functionality. Do you have any updates? Is there any possibility of contributing or collaborating with you? Looking forward to hearing updates from you ? Thanks

It's a work in progress though my priorities are a bit uneven at the moment, leading to this falling behind.

I believe some GSOC applicants are still interested in contributing this despite the project not making it in for 2022.
