Option to autoconnect all Matrix users on the local server to the IRC network #1765

For private deployments connecting to private IRC servers it would probably be safe and very convenient to auto join all users tot the IRC server.

It's something we could do, albeit I'd probably suggest picking a space/room and using that as your source of users. The only way to get a list of users on a server is going via a non-standard API that I'd rather we didn't use :)

But I assume private deployments will probably have a toplevel space / room to target?

Also along the same vein is to add all orc user to the synapse user directory
