Pasted text loses formatting #444

I copied a portion of a Google Doc which included links and a bulleted list and pasted it into the rich text editor hoping it would copy all the formatting so I wouldn't need to convert manually to Markdown. It unfortunately lost all formatting and ended up with raw text.

Pasting the same text into e.g. Thunderbird or a GitHub comment box (mostly) copies the formatting.

This is probably worth a bit more investigation on the web side.

Initial investigation (using a google doc, ie a text document, containing bulleted items) didn't allow me to paste whilst maintaining formatting into this comment box but it did allow it into a new message in gmail. As stated in the ticket, we can't currently maintain formatting when pasting into the rich text editor.

Unexpectedly, pasting into the plain text mode on the rich text editor does maintain formatting, but then breaks your ability to send that message.
