Translate matrix.to website to popular language and auto-detect browser language #27

English language is best! but not all people known it well, many people afraid no-native language sites, so if they see in matrix.to not his language - they will not want to translate or understand what is it.

matrix.to website have not so much strings, so will be good to translate it into popular languages (at first - via google translate, and after - correct via community).

And create script for auto-detect browser language when visiting site and show text in user native language. Also add language switcher combobox.

there is no i18n framework in place currently, as far as I am aware matrix.to might go under a redesign before that so its a ways off yet

I plan to create Russian version of matrix.org (on matrix.org.ru domain) website on Drupal 8.x CMS (as clone of matrix.org) for Russian users. So I can create i18n version, that will support translation on any language, and provide it to matrix.org owners. At now I plan to copy current matrix.org design, and can integrate new design when it ready.

i suspect a better bet would be to make matrix.org itself internationalisable rather than fork/clone it, otherwise it's just going to get very out of sync - plus it poses a security problem for security-sensitive stuff like donation and release details. we have a few offers currently from folks who want to fix up the matrix.org website and turn the whole thing into jekyll or something which we can entirely FOSS and open up for i18n - I'll try to prioritise this.

@ara4n I'm professional developer of websites, based on Drupal opensource CMS, and can do full i18n website for matrix.org with all modern functional. Drupal is much more flexible CMS that other popular solutions like Wordpress, Joomla, MODX, and can be configured to get source of webpages from different databases and storages, eq: list of Matrix Projects from git, Client-Server APIs via Swagger, Spec from another API, etc. I try to create a demo with this functional on my server in near future, and give you lookup on it.
