Trying to open xbar v2.1.4-beta via Applications does nothing #750

Previous versions of xbar worked just fine for me, but this current version (v2.1.4-beta) seems to be refusing to open when I try to open it from Applications or Spotlight. When I reinstalled the dmg, it did give me a popup saying "xbar... is downloaded from github.com. Do you want to open it?". When I press "Open", it doesn't do anything.

The terminal output is below - seems like the process has been asked to start but can't start? image

Security & Privacy doesn't show anything pending either.

OS: macOS Big Sur, Version 11.4

Computer: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

@victorialo thanks for reporting this, I have no idea what's going on here. Can you see if the same thing is happening with the latest release?
