Last menu bar text remains, requires manual refresh #857

The last menu bar text remains from Time Machine plugin ie "Backup Stopping/Completing" and a refresh is required for it to go away. Is this a Monterey issue or is there a way to to have it "close" or hide when there is no backup task running in Time Machine?
