`best_classifications` is pretty slow #186

...and is choking on bigger datasets.

What filesystem is the database on? I've had the query times speed up dramatically just by not having the sqlite database on an nfs share.

Also, how exactly does it "choke" ?

Taking a few days to run, though on NFS.

Sorry - I overestimated the ease of simplifying this in a view. For the analyses where this is time sensitive, I'll replace best_classifications with a table.
