Hello, can you please suggest some sources to obtain real origin-destination data information for the desired area? (In my case, I am interested in data for Germany.) Thank you in advacne.

For Germany, search for "Mobilität in Deutschland" (MiD, https://www.mobilitaet-in-deutschland.de, MiD 2017 is the latest where data is available) or "SrV" (System repräsentativer Verkehrsbefragungen, https://tu-dresden.de/bu/verkehr/ivs/srv/srv-2023)

To my knowledge, they are so-called "mobility diaries", where a low percentage of people are requested to report all their mobility of a day in the form of a diary. This proves departure time distributions, travel time and travel distance distributions, etc. It requires some statistical work to extract some key numbers, but then they can be up-sampled to create agents plans from it.

The data is not publicly available (not open data), but universities should usually get access to these data sets quite easily.

Pendleratlas (=Commuter data) might also be useful: https://statistik.arbeitsagentur.de/DE/Navigation/Statistiken/Interaktive-Statistiken/Pendleratlas/Pendleratlas-Nav.html
