Not receiving SETI tasks #17

Hi,

at first: I love NativeBOINC. Such a nice app. :) Here's my issue. I'm using franco.kernel for better battery life, performance and less temperature (undervolting). I used Android 4.3 stock on my Google Nexus 4 and getting work.. worked. Since I upgraded to franco.Kernel 4.3 builds, something is going wrong. At first I was getting a message like "project doesn't support computers of type arm-android-linux-gnu". After I made a reboot, the message ceased to appear. I'm still now getting work and the log just says "Not requesting tasks: don't need". I cleared app data and reinstalled it, but I'm still not getting work.

Log: http://pastebin.com/8JJNJtwQ The device: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7069928

I am conneced to my charger and wi-fi. I'm sorry if this has occured already and/or if it's a problem on my end. Not really an expert. The settings allow CPU work (used the "work" profile to do this), so this shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Firstly check, whether SETI app is installed (Native client->Installed binaries). If not installed, you can install by using option Native client->Update binaries (missing binaries should be appeared). Sometimes automatic installation doesnt't, however user can retry install missing apps by using this option.

Hi, I checked as you asked. Installed binaries lists "BOINC client 0.5.9.4" and "SETI@Home 0.2". It seems like it is indeed installed. (Update binaries says there were no new binaries available)

Thank you. maybe client restart is needed. Do you crunching others projects? If yes, maybe projects do not allow SETI to compute (for example because workunits have short deadlines). finally you can reattach to project if problems will be repeated.

Hi,

I tried the client restart (and device restart, too) but it doesn't seem to fix it. I'm not crunching other projects than SETI@Home at the moment. At last I tried reattaching the project. It seems to work now! At some point told me that it isn't able to find the apps mentioned in the app_info (or sth like that). I reattached again and it started downloading work and I'm now crunching on my device. (Although I'm not sure why it works now. I tried it several times before.. complete purge, reattach and so on) Thank you for your help!
