This isn't really your issue, but thought I'd flag/document it.
Tried to drag (via Finder) and also copy (via Terminal) the UF2 file across but both times it would fail:
brett@Bretts-MacBook-Air build % cp roms+config.uf2 /Volumes/RPI-RP2
cp: /Volumes/RPI-RP2/roms+config.uf2: fcopyfile failed: Device not configured
cp: /Volumes/RPI-RP2/roms+config.uf2: fchmod failed: Device not configured
Using the same cable & UF2 file there was no issue dragging/dropping the file on Windows 10. So seems to be an issue on the Mac (perhaps known from my quick search).
