This is partially true, however in the AAFC sections, flights and squadrons are primarily numbered.
Over the radio net the phonetic alphabet is used and I was thinking that it would be easy therefore to request a variable that is directly used in the communication (by the COMMS Officer).
Do you have any suggestions for what they should be changed to, if they were changed.
Ah, I see. This must be a difference between Grammar cadets and... Everyone else :) maybe number them with word numbers? Eg one, two, three ?

when input()s have the phonetic alphabet in the string, it is very confusing because the phonetic alphabet is used to show certain specific things, eg what company the cadet is from (Alpha, bravo or charlie)
