i want to catalogue my own modules/experiments/demos for a profile site.
every X days, scan all my github repos
fetch each readme and search for logos/screenshots that could be used as a thumbnail
grab title and package.json details, link to the module and optionally a link to a live demo
show everything in a gallery grid
allow user to filter grid by keywords, whether or not the project has a demo, etc
Any modules that do not have a thumbnail/logo will not appear in gallery. Some package.json or README.md meta data could be added to describe specific details like a thumbnail to use.
Same codebase could be used to generate a "demo gallery" of your personal experiments, as long as they have a repo associated.
problem: team / org repos
gotta figure out how to also fetch repos under a different org, but mainly maintained by that user.
moar
would be good to generate gif or webm of the experiment in action, for thumbnail hover state. maybe using electron/chromeo/whatever.
