I'm still exploring new pens/materials all the time, I don't think there is any one answer.
For higher quality prints, you should look for pens that are "archival" ink as it will be really durable. Pigma Micron has really good quality pens.
Here's a couple others I like:
Overall it just depends on your style and preference. I would just buy a few and see what feels good. There's also a whole world of different materials to write on: wood, acrylic, metal, fabric, found objects, etc.
Thanks, has weight ever been an issue for you? I think I was having problems with one pen and had to do the rubber band but didn't seem to work that well. BTW, awesome job with the repo planning on giving it a try after I get some new pens.
I initially had some trouble the first day or two, it seemed to fix itself (maybe it loosened up a little). I'm sure you can DM/message ESML on Twitter if you have more problems. Good luck!
What have been your favorite pens for the AxiDraw? Any tips
