Unable to sign in from Android App

I am unable to connect to my nextcloud server from the Android Client. When I enter my Instance URL it comes back saying "The URL is not a valid nextcloud server!"

The same URL works for other applications like notes and Nextcloud App and others .

Since it is an error that I cannot reproduce, I ask you to do these steps:

• Update the app to the latest version v1.2.12-beta. You can either do this directly by downloading the apk from github or you should wait for google to accept the release (it will take a couple of hours)
• Try entering your url again (so that it fails)
• Enter http://localhost in the url, the app will put you in guest (offline) mode
• Go to settings and download the logs by clicking on the icon in the top right-hand corner
• Send the log file here hoping we find the cause of the error
