How to open shared files/resources? #772

Dear Matterhorn team, I am very sorry for the naive question, but I could not find any solution to above problem in the docs: How do I open some shared file with my system-wide configured default software, e.g. some shared pdf with evince without having to download it?

Additionally, could you add some section for this to the docs, too?

Hi @THinnerichs, have you looked at the urlOpenCommand configuration setting? It sounds to me like that is what you might need:

Hey @jtdaugherty, that is pretty much it. Thanks a lot! As mentioned, I'd appreciate a comment on this in the getting started section, as its rather vital for proper Matterhorn usage. :)
