Feature Idea: Sharing option for the app. #1159

Hi;

I've searching for an app like Focalboard for a moment now. There is a million of apps but none is free. I have a small company and Focalboard would be the best if there was a sharing option for the app.

I'm just a regular user who doesn't have coding qualities.

Would a sharing option be possible ?

Hi @alexaeco! It sounds like you are looking for a way to share boards with colleagues?

From the desktop apps, you can export an archive, and send it to someone else to import.

If you work regularly with others, check out Personal Server for small teams, or Mattermost, which includes Focalboard, and adds richer permissions, user management, and collaboration features.

There's a hosted cloud option for Mattermost, but you can also set it up on your own server. There are many options for this, but I recommend Mattermost Omnibus as the most straight forward option.
