The issue persists on 5.10 (same environment: Debian 12 with KDE Wayland etc).
In 5.9, it was not possible to close the window, it seems fixed in 5.10.
I attached some logs if it can help.
At 2:58pm, the log level is set to debug. Then, we click on the minimize button several time. The window is minimized briefly then it reopens almost instantly.
@ilyasaharov I can't reproduce your exact conditions, with v5.9, however we did fix a KDE related minimize issue here. It's available in the latest nightly build if you want to try that, available here: https://community.mattermost.com/core/channels/desktop-builds
@devinbinnie , This build fixed the problem: mattermost-desktop_5.11.0-nightly.20241120-1_amd64.deb You can close the issue.

Steps to reproduce
1)Use the buttons on the right top part of the window to minimize the app. 2)Then maximise the window. 3)Use buttons on the top part of the window If you do this like 3-4 times, app doubles the minimise-maximise (you cannot minimise anymore), after that app freezes completely, and you need to close the app, and open it to work again. The bug is fully reproducable after restart. You just minimize - maximize window several times - and that's it! On my setup it is fully reproducable in 3-4 minimise - maximise.
Expected behavior
No minimise action broken (when minimise button app should actually minimise the window) No app freeze/hang, when app hangs, and do not respond to any actions
Observed behavior
Minimise button broken. App crashes, if use the minimise window button (top right of the screen).
Log Output
Additional Information
It is most likely a ui problem - with wayland and KDE Plazma. A bug is very simple to reproduce.
